How I got into Computer Engineering
I’m a Computer Engineering graduate with a lifelong passion for technology and science. Growing up with both of my parents as computer engineering professors, I was introduced to the world of programming and problem-solving at an early age. At just 12 years old, I began attending some of my mother’s university classes, where I discovered how much I enjoyed problem-solving thinking and building solutions through code.
As I got closer to university, I enrolled in programming courses where I developed small games using Scratch and other high-level programming languages. Seeing my ideas come to life on the screen was a defining moment for me as it transformed programming from something interesting into something pratical that I truly loved. That experience sparked a deep curiosity and a strong drive to continuously learn, improve and build pratical applications.
Since then, I’ve always envisioned myself working in Computer Engineering, building innovative solutions and tackling complex problems. I’m motivated by challenges, excited by emerging technologies, and constantly looking for opportunities to grow as a developer, engineer and person.
Hobbies and Extracurriculars
Traveling is one of my greatest passions. I enjoy discovering new cultures, tasting different cuisines, exploring historical landmarks, and creating meaningful experiences while meating new friends. My love for travel is deeply connected to my interest in history. I believe that understanding the past helps us better interpret the present and shape the future.
This curiosity naturally extends to cooking. I enjoy recreating dishes from around the world. Experimenting with new flavors and techniques allows me to bring a piece of my travels into my everyday life.
To balance my appreciation for good food, I am also passionate about sports. I particularly enjoy team sports and previously played on a basketball team. I value the camaraderie, shared goals, and sense of unity that come from working together toward a common objective.
Finally, I enjoy gaming, especially board games. I appreciate the social interaction and friendly competition they encourage. It’s a great way to spend quality time with friends while engaging in strategic thinking and conversation. Video games also allow me to stay connected with friends who live far away, giving us a way to share experiences even when we cannot meet in person.
